Cub Scout Adventures Overview: https://www.scouting.org/programs/cub-scouts/adventures/
Achievements & Advancement
All Achievements are the responsibility of the individual Cub Scout, and require the commitment of support from the Parent of the Cub Scout. All achievements can be accomplished by the Cub Scout on his/her own individual initiative. The Cub Scout will receive full credit for accomplishing those achievements with written verification sent from the Parent of the Cub Scout to the Den Leader.
The Den Leader is responsible to execute a plan of action that provides opportunities for their participating Cub Scouts to meet their achievement milestones (Adventure Loops or Pins) and earn their Badges.
If the Cub Scout does his/her best to accomplish the required achievements, utilizing any combination of Pack and Den event participation and/or individual initiative, then he/she should confidently expect to earn his/her Badge prior to the last meeting in May.
If the Cub Scout does not make a reasonable effort to participate in Pack or Den events, undertake individual initiative, or communicate via his/her Parent to the Den Leader to express extenuating circumstances and to coordinate alternative courses of action, then he/she should not expect to earn his/her Badge.
